Luxury Vinyl Installation in a New Detached Home

The Project: A 2-storey + basement newly built family home
Over 5 days, our team installed 3,100 sq. ft. of luxury vinyl and 1,200 sq. ft. of carpet during the final stage of the development.

The flooring product: Firmfit, a luxury vinyl product from the Richmond Reflection brand
On the main floor and basement, we installed Firmfit, a floating, wide-plank vinyl flooring that has the look and 3D texture of a beveled hardwood floor. The upstairs bedrooms and stairs were covered with a textured Saxony carpet that tied it into the colour of the downstairs luxury vinyl floor.

How the product was selected
The goal was to create a classic look that would work with the contemporary interior of the home and support the busy lifestyle of a three-generation family. Using a luxury vinyl across the entire main floor -- living and dining rooms and open kitchen area -- created a large singular space that provided the flow and elegance required along with the durability and high performance so necessary for this family. The interior designer chose colours based on the marble countertop and glossy white and wood grain veneer of the kitchen furniture to complement the decor.
